FREQUENTLY ASKED

What is exfoliation? Exfoliation is a technique to remove dead skin cells. Every 30 days, your skin naturally sheds dead skin cells to make room for new cells. If the dead skin cells don't shed all the way, you'll end up with rough, dry, flaky patches and clogged pores.

What will exfoliating do for me? Exfoliating removes the rough, dry, flaky dead skin cells left behind from shedding of the skin. Exfoliating reveals healthy glowing skin, leaving you soft and smooth like a newborn baby.

How often should I exfoliate? We recommend exfoliating no more than 1-2 times per week. Exfoliating more than 2 times a week can cause skin irritation. *Avoid exfoliating if you have open sores, sunburn, or cuts on your skin.

Why do you use a Foaming Bath Butter base in your body scrubs? A typical body scrub doesn't contain a cleansing agent. We find that cleansing your skin before or after exfoliating is just an extra "to do" thing to add to your self-care routine.  The Foaming Bath Butter base in our body scrubs makes self-care quick and easy by cleansing your skin while exfoliating at the same time.

Are there any other benefits to using Foaming Bath Butter? We're glad you asked! The Foaming Bath Butter creates a rich, creamy lather with significant foam levels. It is a non-skin irritant that's Paraben and MPG Free. The moisturizing formula is rich in glycerine, meaning it hydrates and moisturizes the skin.

Why do you use Organic Cane Sugar as the exfoliant? Cane Sugar is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) that increases cell turnover. Sugar is also a humectant that draws moisture from the environment, pulls it into the skin, and promotes hydration. Cane sugar is perfect for all skin types to unclog pores.
